Q: What Is A Good Site That Reviews Cell Phones and Their Plans?

A: http://www.gsmarena.com is a good place to review Phones, only if they are GSM phones though, like Cingular and T-Mobil

Q: Where is there a good and clear review of pay as you go cell phone plans?

A: Go to cnet.com.Or About.com. Click on prepaid phones. They pretty much tell you about all the prepaid plans.

Q: What are some good sites where I can compare reviews of cell phones?
When I signed up for my phone plan, I got a phone that was offered on a deal at that time, and it's turned out to be kind of a lemon. It's got very short battery life and I've had to replace it twice. Eventually, I'll want to buy a new phone, and I'd like to know some web sites where I can read reviews from phone users and/or other objective reviewers about the value of different phone models. Are you aware of any sites like this, and if so, which ones are good?

A: cnet.com is the best.

Q: I have a verizon cell phone plan and a LG enV. I want to get a samsung blast phone.?
Would I have to change my service? Is it possible to buy a phone from a different company (full price) and use it for a different service?.. And does anyone have any reviews for the blast? I think the enV is too large and I want a slimmer phone.

A: Samsung Blasts are only offered by T-Mobile. They're GSM, while Verizon Wireless runs a CDMA system. So, no way technically that a GSM phone will work on a CDMA system. And even if you could, VZW has a policy in place not to activate non VZW phones into their subscriber base. If you want a Blast badly, be prepared to pay the price to make the switch.

Q: Where to buy an unlocked cell phone?
The place I planned to buy the cell phone had bad reviews. Where should I buy a unlocked cell phone (other than eBay or amazon.) Also, I'm looking for a SLVR L7.

A: best buy and circuit city sells unlocked phones but let me warn you they do not come cheap.

Q: Cell phone provider reviews....new contract wondering what to get?
Tomarrow im getting a new cell phone and a new contract...im currently with centenial.. i was wondering what people tohught of there providers i was thinking of going to at&t and getting the blackberry curve. but i hard you need a blackberry plan and i dont want that.... i want a smart phone though..maybe an htc but i heard you have to get a blackberry plan

A: I just got a curve. i don't know what a blackberry plan is but i definitely don't have one. I am assuming it has to do with setting up aim and wifi and such. I don't really deal with that. I just have a regular plan with unlimited text messages. Through AT&T I think the phone ended up costing a little under 100. I am not sure because it was a gift but I know I dont have a "blackberry plan".

Q: Has anyone used 3U Telecom for their long distance phone plans?
MCI's monthly plan went to almost $6 for the privilege of using their plan; I'm not going to pay them $6 when I almost exclusively use my cell phone for long distance. So I need to switch to a new carrier. Has anyone used 3U Telecom for their long distance? They were recommended by a couple of online review sites. Thanks.

A: Nope. I have verizon freedom unlimited long distance.

Q: Opinions/ reviews of Cricket cell phone service?
Regarding dropped calls, customer service, steady plan rates, etc. Do they every shade you out of anything? Any input you have I'd love to have you share it with me. Thanks

A: ghgfh

Q: Can anyone provide a review of Jitterbug cell phone service?
I'm researching a phone plan for my grandfather, and the Jitterbug phone itself looks like a good design for seniors, but both the phone and the service (as well as the extras) are EXPENSIVE! Is it really that much better than something like TracFone? After not getting much response on this question, I did a bunch of research myself. This is what I came up with: http://pbush14.wordpress.com/jitterbug-phone-review/

A: Hi. I worked for Jitterbug for many years (before it was Jitterbug it was the SOS PHONE). The phone is excellent for technophobes. The customer service is great, and they try to make everything as simple as possible for the user. If your grandpa is going to use hundreds of minutes per month, then he might be better off with another phone with higher usage plans at a cheaper rate, but the Jitterbug design is awesome for seniors, so many find it well worth it to pay extra to get that comfort and ease of use.

Q: HELP!! Which type of PREPAID CELL PHONE is good with long talk time and less money on minutes?
Have been googling & researching for months now with no luck and the prepaid cellphone REVIEWS/OPINIONS that I've seen. NOT INTERESTED=> in INpulse by Verizon also NOT INTERESTED in paying minimal monthly for me to talk on my prepaid cell phone... But which one of these prepaid phones and phone cards allow me to keep prepaid mins for at least a year and allows me to talk longer and costs less money in minutes Tracphone, AT &T,Virgin Mobile, Net10 or T-Mobile..... which one of these charges anaccess fee ...I was leaning towards irgin Moble bt heard they charge a daily access fee of a $1. Which allows me to talk long distance all of the US?? For example I'm gonna be on the phone chatting for at least 30 mins and (and yes I know it would be cheaper and more beneficial to get mothly plan but I don't have the $$$$ to pay monthly) but if anyone here has experience with any of the cell phone providers I have mentioned above I thank you so much for your answer in advance I’ve already checked every cell phone forum/ prepaid cell phone review site out ther I really have but now I’m looking for answers here, so please don’t bother referring me to prepaid cell phone review sites I have already checked with no sufficient amount of updated information…… Thank you all for your help.

A: When I researched this for my son about a year ago I found that Virgin Mobile had the best plan for him. Here is a link to their pre-paid rates: http://www.virginmobileusa.com/rates/minute.do You have to top-up with $20.00 worth of minutes at least once every 90 days to keep the phone active unless you do a $90 top-up, then the phone stays active for 1 year. The basic rate is .20 per minute. If you pay the 6.99 per month fee, rates drop to .10 per minute. Or if you buy the minute packs, rates vary from .05/min for a 1000 min top-up, .075 for a 400 min top-up and .10 /min for the 200 min top-up. Texting is extra but it's all on the web page above. There are also some links that compare some of their rates to ATT, Tracphone, and Net10, as well as a link that shows you the coverage map. There is no $1 per day access charge for these plans, so you don't have to worry about that. The only access charge is the $6.99 per month for the .10/min basic plan, but you can get the same rate by buying the 200 min top-up packs without the monthly fee. Hope this helps

Q: buying a new cell phone?
im with at&t (cingular) on a cell phone plan rite now but i really want and need a new one, but all of the cingular cell phone's ive looked at lately in stores and online dont seen so great for me. i textmessage a lot, i was looking into the LG Shine, but i saw reviews that it was hard to text on, which i dont want the hassle of, plus it was on the pricey side: $125. so i was wondering if i can just buy a cell phone somewhere else (cricket, verizon, t-mobile) and just put my sim card in it, not acutually have to change my plan?

A: I suggest the LG Shine. And it's only $50, sweetie. =)

Q: Best cell phone provider for family three?
I currently have AT&T, my friend has T-Mobile, and my other friend has Sprint, but were all moving out of our current houses and rooming together and we want to get a family cell phone plan. The only problem is were having a problem choosing from which will provide us the best service in Charlotte, NC. Out of the main cellular providers... Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, and Alltel, i am currently satisfied with AT&T, i have heard bad reviews of t-mobiles dissatisfying service, and i have yet to meet anyone with alltel. Well here is what we are proposing, unlimited talk & text, forget internet and all the other nice features, were phone users, not looking for a portable computer, just a phone so talk & text will do unlimited. Who will provide us the best service, i know t-mobile is the cheapest but i heard their service is unsatisfactory, but still give me the others please. Thanks!

A: For at&t for the three of you to have unlimited talk and text your looking at $330 per month plus taxes. Since your familiar with at&t you know what they are about, what kind of service you get in the area, and what customer service is like through them. I don't personally know about the others services, but from what I've heard, and it's been quite a bit, that other companies don't try to do a lot for their customers, and it can be worth it to pay a little extra for services that work properly, and good help when you need it.

Q: reviews of prepaid cell phones?
My eight year old wants a cell phone. I told her we would try a prepaid phone first and if she is responsible with it and keeps her grades up we would then get her on my cell plan. We have narrowed it down to att go phone or verizon inpulse. I would like to know if anyone has had positive or negative experience with these. If you have had luck with another company I would appreciate that info as well. Not too concerned about the cost, mostly clarity and reception. Thanks

A: I would recommend the go phone. It does not cost allot and has pretty good reception. My sister had one and loved it. Verizon would be a great choice too, but i would recommend the go phone for someone her age

Q: PrePaid Cell Phone?
I'm thinking of getting a pre-paid cell phone -- which plans are the best? I've heard mixed reviews of TracFone and Virgin. Any suggestions? The type of phone isn't really important -- it will be for emergencies only.

A: go for a cheap t-mobile phone($39.99) as it will work out cheaper in the end you can also check your zip code coverage on their website .All prepaid cards have expiration dates i.e. 1 month if you don't put more minutes on your phone they will disconnect the service T-mobile 1 year service with 1000 minutes = $100 (10c a min) tracfone is 250 minutes and a years service=$100(40c a min) virgin either $14 a month set fee for 100 minutes or 18c a minute(but must add a least $20 every 90 days) which means $81 a year for 450 minutes

Q: Can someone give a cell phone recommendation?
My phone got stolen so I'm just looking for a new one, I'll be using the same plan with AT&T. But all their phones have really bad reviews from people, cracked phones, buttons splitting. . . Don't want that! Anyway, since I already have a plan, I'd really rather not pay alot of money for a cell. Uh, I pretty much want really useless things in it, like a good camera, the ability to put photos on the wallpaper and stuff, and I want it to be cute. Woooot. =B

A: The sony ericson is a nice "cute" phone as is the samsung matrix and the quickfire they all have cameras, good features and are pretty affordable
