A: the cureve is one of the best phones out there and dont listen to rumors it can totally play real music, ihave about 100 songs on mine. So dont have any doubts about it. It is an awsome phone!!

Q: Will a blackberry curve work normal without the extra $30 you have to pay?
I have a razor from when they first came out and my contract is up and i want a new phone. I dont want another razor but i want the phone to play music. I really like the blackberry curve and was about to get one when AT&T said that it wouldn't work right unless i got the extra $30 plan. So anybody that has had or has a curve please help.
A: No it won't, you must select a blackberry option when you purchase a blackberry phone. I've asked them about it because my wife really wants one but I told her we're not spending an extra $30 a month just because the phone is cute. I called them and asked if it was possible to get the phone without the blackberry option and they said no.
Q: Do I have to get a blackberry plan to get internet on a blackberry curve?
I am planning on buying a blackberry curve but dont want to pay to high price for the blackberry plan. Is there another plan on att that i can get unlimited internet for the curve?
A: Yes. BlackBerry devices require special service codes for internet/data services that are different than for other PDA's or phones (like the Treo or Motorola Q's). You cannot use any other data/internet plan on a BlackBerry besides the BlackBerry specific services.
Q: How much is the blackberry curve from at&t without the data plan?
I want the blackberry curve at the discount price without having to get the data plan. I'm also at that point where I can renew my contract.
A: You don't HAVE to get the data plan, but if the price of the phone includes a mail-in rebate, then you have to get the Blackberry data plan to qualify for the rebate. After you get your rebate, you can cancel the data if you want to.
Q: Can a blackberry curve 8310 be used on a GoPhone Account?
I am planning on buying a Blackberry Curve 8310 for AT&T. The only reason i want this phone is for the keypad. All i need to know is, will i be able to make calls and text with this phone on my prepaid account. I really don't care about the internet access, i just want to text easily and call people. Thanks to who answers!
A: yes it will work, you will be able to call and text. and just so you know, if you do go on the internet, it'll just take money away from your prepaid balance.
Q: Are all the songs on the blackberry curve free to listen to?
Do the songs in the media player for the blackberry curve free to listen to? Do you have to purchase songs or albums? Does it come with free songs and albums already on the phone? All owners of blackberry curves please help! Thanks!
A: Just know, however, that not all your iTunes songs will play on your Blackberry.
iTunes has a copyright agreement and a lot of my iTunes songs wouldn't play on my Blackberry. This really bummed me because it was one of the reasons I switched to BB, so I could do away with my iPod in my purse and carrying my Palm Pilot, etc. etc. It plays some of the iTunes songs, but not many.
Bummer!
Q: If you own a blackberry curve do you HAVE TO have a data package?
If you own a blackberry curve do you HAVE TO have a data package?
Like without it, it wont work. Im talking about AT&T and i dont want to pay 35 a month for 2 phones for the unlimited data. Is it required? Also if i buy it, will the sales rep tell me i need the data package or it wont work or can i use the curve without a data package?
A: no way! i dont have the data package. i have texting and internet- but not the unlimited data, and my phone works just fine. That shouldnt be a problem! they tried to talk me into that as well, i was like..uuuhhh..noooooo.
good luck
Q: How do i set a password on Blackberry Curve so you cant see messages?
How do i put a password so you can not access messages without a password. I have the blackberry curve.
A: There isn't a way to password protect only certain portions of the phone. What you can do is set up a password on the device, while still allowing calls to be made. However, when locked, your WHOLE device is locked other than the phone module.
To do this you will go to Options > Security Options > General Settings. Set the Password options to Enable. Also, set the Allow Outgoing Calls While Locked option to Yes. After saving the changes you will be prompted to enter your password. After entering that you should be set.
So when your device is locked you can still place/receive calls, however no one can get in to your device until the password is entered.
Q: How do you put music on a blackberry curve?
Well I have a blackberry curve and I can put music it on it.But there's one thing that's missing. How do i put the music on.So please help me thank you.
A: Hello there,
There are two ways 3 ways to put music on your BlackBery Curve.
For all three ways you need to ensure you have a Micro SD (Media Card) inserted into you Device. You must have mass storage mode enabled on the device. Goto Options, Media Card. Make sure you have Mass Storage Mode Support "ON" and to make you life easier Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode when Connected "YES".
1) Download BlackBerry Desktop Manager from www.blackberry.com, make sure you download the package that includes "Media Manager". Once installed, Connect your device and select Media or Media Manager from the BlackBerry Desktop manager screen.
Media Manager starts, follow the on screen information for transferring media or refer to the manual for instructions.
2) Sync device with Itunes - http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/features/media/mediasync.jsp#tab_tab_download
The BlackBerry website has info on how to use Media Sync, most important thing is though, when synchronizing with Itunes it only sync's play lists, not individual songs. Also if your songs are protected by Digital Rights Managment, they will not be allowed to be copied to the Device.
3) When you device is connected, Windows will usually detect the plug and play Media Card and give you direct access to the files stored on your Media Card. You can manually copy compatible songs directly to the media card if you like.
Hope that Helps!

Q: How do you put software in the blackberry curve without using ota?
I havebeen trying many times to put software in the blackberry curve 8310, however it never happens. I heard from some where that black berry works with "over the air" (ota) files for putting loading software in the phone. However, online many softswares dont support over the air files, so you have to put them in manually and that is the part i dont know how to do? ...It seems veryy challenging.
A: Here is a great guide on how to install the 3rd party software without going OTA

Q: How do I record with my Blackberry Curve?
Maybe it's not even possible - but how can I record something & set it as my ringtone w/ my blackberry curve?
I want to be albe to record a line off of tv, or a snipit of my favorite song, and then set that as my ringtone. How do I do that?
A: I have a hard time believing you can't create your own ringtone on the Blackberry Curve. Just upload the file you want to use to your memory card or email it to yourself and set it as your ringtone. There are a lot of sites that will accomplish the task of compressing your audio files to a reasonable size, but I just use audacity and create my own from there.
Q: How to resize the pictures for wallpaper on the blackberry curve?
Okay so I have a Blackberry Curve 8310.
How come when I take a picture, then hit the crop button and select "set as homescreen". Nothing happens?
The manual thing said it should resize it but it doesnt.
Also when I select pictures as backgrounds it only show half the picture in the middle. How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance :]
A: Never heard of that before but when my blackberry acts wierd like that I restart it by taking out the battery. If that does not fix the problem then reload the device operating system software.
Latest device software can be found at:

Instructions for OS Reload can be found here:

Q: How long should my BlackBerry curve take to reset?
So I just got a BlackBerry curve exactly a week ago from Verizon. It was working fine this morning but I needed to put a miniSD card into my phone. I turned it off, put the card in, then put the battery back, and here it is 30 minutes later, and my phone still hasn't turned on.
Suggestions?
The problem with putting the card in while the phone is power on is the slot UNDER the battery, you have to take the battery out to put it in.
A: Not long at all. Try inserting your sd media card in while fully powered. It will tell you MEDIA CARD INSERTED, or NO MEDIA CARD. Its very instant.
Q: How is the Sprint Blackberry Curve? I am thinkng about switching from the LG dare from Verizon to SprintsCurve?
Thinking about switching from verizon and my LG dare to sprint and the blackberry curve. Now i know that sprints service does not compare to verizons but my friend has a program since he works for sprint that will get me unlimited everything and 500 mins for just 45 dollars a month. So is it worth it?
A: ohhh yeah, but if you would like to stick to the touch screen interface, sprint has quite a few phones to choose from such as:
the instinct
htc touch diamond
treo 800w
palm centro
if you wait about a month sprint is bringing out the latest black berry curve, the 8350i with wi-fi, and all that good stuff.
